Recognizing Your Power!

Growing up, I faced numerous challenges with succeeding in my academics. I failed my high school exams repeatedly for ten long years. Can you imagine? Ten years of disappointment, frustration, and self-doubt. One of my biggest hurdles was mathematics. I used to believe that I just wasn't cut out for it, that I lacked the natural talent others seemed to possess. I also convinced myself that I was smart enough, but the academic system was against me, or even worse, that maybe I wasn't meant to succeed.

But everything changed when I met someone who offered a simple piece of advice on how to solve mathematical problems. I realized that I had been my own worst enemy, allowing negative thoughts to hold me back. Instead of dwelling on my failures, I started to focus on my potential. I challenged myself to overcome my weaknesses and maximize my strengths.

When I shifted my mindset and embraced the idea that I could learn anything with dedication and effort, everything changed. I put in the work, sought help when I needed it, and slowly but surely, I started to see progress.

Eventually, I succeeded in my exams and gained admission into the University to study. And you know what? I didn't just pass—I excelled. I graduated among the top students in my class, proving to myself and everyone else that I had the power within me all along.

So, what did I learn from this experience? To recognize one's power! In order to recognize your power, firstly, believing in yourself is non-negotiable. You have to trust that you are capable of achieving greatness, regardless of past failures or setbacks. Secondly, don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and challenge yourself. Growth only happens when you push yourself beyond what you think you're capable of.

But recognizing your power isn't just about internal beliefs; it's also about taking action. I started by adding value to my community, through volunteering, mentoring others, or sharing my story. The more I contributed, the more confident I became in my abilities.

Another crucial aspect of recognizing your power is continuous learning. I realized that knowledge is power, and the more I educated myself, the more opportunities opened up. Whether it's formal education, self-study, or learning from others, never stop investing in yourself.

Of course, the journey to recognising your power isn't always easy. Fear, doubt, and negativity will inevitably creep in from time to time. But I've learned that the key is to confront those thoughts head-on and replace them with positivity. Instead of asking, "Why me?" I now ask, "Why not me?" I refuse to let fear hold me back from pursuing my dreams.

So, if you're struggling to recognize your own power, remember this: you are worthy, you are capable, and you are destined for greatness. Believe in yourself, take action, and never stop learning. The world is full of possibilities, and it's up to you to seize them.

And if you ever need a reminder or some extra encouragement, just know that I'm here rooting for you every step of the way.
